Cat rescue and re-homing charity working through the Stroud and Gloucestershire areas
5 Valley Cat Rescue is a local registered charity.
We help cats and kittens throughout the Gloucestershire area and are based in and around the Stroud Valleys region.
Our work includes catching feral and stray cats as well as rehabilitating disabled and older cats. Our aim for all the cats that come into our care is to find them a forever home. Foster carers work hard to look after the cats until a suitable home can be found for them.
We rely solely on donations and the help of our volunteers. Donations of food and cat litter help our foster carers to look after the cats in their temporary possession. Whilst cash donations help pay for neutering, vaccinations and veterinary bills as well as help the charity to function.

More about usHow we work
We assist in re-homing all unwanted cats and kittens where we are able to. We have 6 garden pens where domestic cats are temporarily housed and cared for by individual volunteer fosterers whilst they await new homes. We offer free neutering for farm, feral and outdoor living cats and we will assist with costs for neutering domestic cats. We can lend cat traps to catch unhandleable cats, and will also arrange for them to be given a free health check at the same time as being neutered.
Re-homing ProcessHow you can help
We are always looking for new foster carers to look after cats who are searching for their forever family and volunteers who can help us at the many local events we attend throughout the year to help raise the funds we need to continue our work. We also run a membership scheme and new members are always welcome.
